Eight years ago, the owners began quietly dreaming about a different kind of life. At the time, they were deep in the chaos of corporate careers — deadlines, pressure, travel and never quite slowing down.

During a work trip, an in-flight magazine article spoke about places where exhausted overworked workers could go to disconnect, destress and simply pause for a while.

The idea came back in full force once the decision was made to finally leave the big smoke in search of somewhere slower, cooler and calmer… Tasmania 🌿

Once here, they stumbled across a listing for Mount George — was it a mountain or a big hill?! More importantly, was it really for sale??!!

But one look at the views and they knew. This. Was. It.

And so began the long, stressful, crazy chaotic journey of creating The George Tasmania… a uniquely special place designed for people to slow down, reconnect and surrender to something quieter, calmer and more meaningful. ✨
